Who We Are
Tumaini Fellowship Christian Organization is a non-Profit Organization founded in 2017. The group was officially registered in 2019 with the objective of helping less advantaged individuals in the community i.e orphans, widows and disabled. The group is majorly composed of refugees from Congo, Burundi and even less advantaged Kenyans living around Saika, Kayole, Githurai, Kabiria and Kasarani areas. Through help from well-wishers and our own contributions, Tumaini Fellowship Christian group has been able to assist others by providing counselling, food, clothes and funds for startup small scale businesses.

Objective 2: The children and adult population will improve their food security and nutrition through accessibility to agriculture production and marketing.
Objective 3: The children and adult population will improve their English and French to fit the job requirements at local and national levels.
Our Core Duties
We help the vulnerable; poor students, orphans, handicapped and poor adult people through provision of training materials to put their time in study carefully and regularly. In turn they feel hopeful to study without doubt. We also Train them on business plans and management before providing them with working capital to ensure they are able to operate the businesses successfully towards profitability. We have been helping adult people acquire knowledge in English, Computer and Tailoring Skills and any other Training Offered at TFCO. We encourage the elderly, orphans, widows, widowers and handicapped people to have hope in life and be included in the society and world community at large. These elderly, orphans, widows, widowers and handicapped people often come up with ideas to sustain their businesses.
Develop Business Ideas. Our business idea will be inclusive of low-income people (LIP - those living in urban or rural areas on USD 8 or less per capita per day; equivalent to USD 2,920 per capita per year) either as producers, suppliers, employees, distributors, sales agents and/ or consumers for mutual benefits.
Our business idea is relevant to at least one of the three focus sectors of Innovations Against Poverty (IAP); Agriculture and food, energy and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH).
Our business idea brings a clear product, process or business model innovation.
Our company or partner(s) related to the proposed business idea are not involved in the arms, tobacco, alcohol and gambling industries; registered in so called tax-havens or involved in environmental or human rights abuses or corruption.
Our organization has been operational for at least three years.
Social and Environmental impact. The expected benefits and results from IAP are related to good financial performance of the organization and a social return regarding new jobs created, number of LIP engaged in the value chain, LIP gaining access to basic goods and services, and contributions to gender equality and women’s empowerment. Moreover, opportunities for a positive contribution to the environment and avoiding, or reducing and managing negative impacts. The following questions are related to the social and environmental impact of the proposed projects; Number of new jobs created, Number of low-income people as producers, suppliers, distributors and sales agents, Number of new low-income people gaining access to basic goods and services & Ratio of male and female beneficiaries.
